Description

Diane S. Blum, is Executive Director of Cancer Care, Inc., a non-profit organization which for more than 50 years has provided professional counseling, education, financial assistance, and help with practical problems to people with cancer and their families. Cancer Care's services are free and available in Cancer Care's 11 offices, through the Cancer Care Counseling Line (1-800-813-HOPE), and via the Internet. Prior to joining Cancer Care in 1984 as director of social service, Ms. Blum served as a social work supervisor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The title of her lecture is "Coping with Cancer: Help for Patients and Families."
